This lady’s new performance art piece consists of smelling every book in the MoMA Library.  According to her:

The goal of this personal olfactory exploration is to foster a discussion of the future of print media, the ways we read, methods of classification, and the way in which smell is entwined with memory.

Her name is Rachael Morrison, and on her webpage you can see pictures of her ledger book listing the Library of Congress number, title, and smell description for each book.  The photographer who took the pictures is named Michael Schmelling – I thought that was the punchline of the piece (SCHMELLING!) but it turns out he is a real photographer.

Incidentally, I found this on the MoMA blog, Inside/Out – it’s one of the sites I follow via my beloved Google Reader ticker tape, and I recommend it.
