Continuing in their effort to counter the hurtful notion that us bookworms are nebbish and anemic, The Morning News recently published the bracket for their annual Tournament of Books. Part literary debate, part vicious Van Damm-esque bloodsport, the Tournament features mysterious judges (Jessica Francis Kane! Anthony Doerr! Elif Batuman!), is presided over by an evil literary mastermind (C. Max Magee), and takes place on an island shrouded in mystery and exempt from the dictates of civility and conscience (the internet).
